How YOU can find the best bargains on Black Friday at Tesco, the biggest shopping event of the year.
We make a prediction on what’s to come from Tesco for Black Friday 2016 and the shopping hacks to help you nab everything you really want. Last year Tesco went all out on tech deals for Black Friday, knocking two-thirds off the price of tablets, laptops Beats headphones and mobile phones.
This year we expect a similar strategy from the supermarket giant, as they go head-to-head with other major high street retailers like Argos and Sainsbury’s – with online becoming the most favourable way for customers to access the deals.
We expect high price electrical and tech items from brands like Apple and Samsung to feature heavily alongside popular toys for 2016, as shoppers prepare for Christmas and capitalise on the heavy discounting.
You’ll be able to track down the latest offers by visiting the retailer’s official Black Friday page come November 25.
Top Black Friday shopping tips
Ensure you snap up the best bargains with these foolproof tips and get the items you really want. Remember planning is key to your success.
1. Focus your search
Knowing what you’re looking for is half the battle
The easiest way to avoid being swayed by cut-price discounted price tags is to make a plan of what you actually need/want and how much you’re willing to spend.
This will make it easier for you to narrow your search and hone in on specific deals quicker.
2. Start looking early
Ensure you don’t miss the boat on what you want by shopping around for bargains as early as possible. Don’t forget to regularly revisit the Black Friday page.
We recommend either opting to browse around midnight, or during the early hours of the morning between 3am-4am.
3. Bookmark relevant pages ahead of time
Expect amazing price drops on tech, electricals and toys
If you’ve been stalking that 42 inch TV or Apple iPad for weeks bookmark the pages so they’re easy to find when the sales launch.
4. Look for additional savings
Find ways to get free delivery, opt for click and collect services and sign up to cashback sites like Quidco and Top cash back where you’ll earn extra cash on purchases you are going to make any way.
Save on delivery by opting for free click and collect to your local store. You can also try out the Delivery Saver plan one month free trial, which means you’ll get free delivery to your home on any Tesco Direct or F&F clothing orders over £10, or grocery orders of £40 or more.
You can cancel at anytime or after your free trial is up you can either cancel the plan, or be automatically signed up to the pay monthly plan of your choice.
5. Hitting the shops? Kit yourself out accordingly
Will there be carnage in-store this Black Friday like in 2015?
If you are brave enough to venture into store come Black Friday, your success will be measured on how well you’ve prepped for the ordeal.
By that we mean wear appropriate clothing – trainers, comfortable lightweight layers, and body armour. Leave the kids at home, and take some water to keep you hydrated.
